The purpose of the District 5 Traveling Trowel is to promote the lodges in the district to visit each other. It can be taken from the lodge that currently has it in their possesion under the following conditions:
- Visiting lodge has at least 5 members of its lodge present, and
- One of the members must be either the Master or one of the Wardens.
- Trowel can not be reacquired by a "surrendering" lodge from the "acquiring" lodge. It must pass to a third lodge first. *New - 4/26/06
